First real blog post
We are now over 6 months into the business! WOOHOO :)
It has been great getting to meet our clients at their homes, meet their pets in a (generally) fear free environment, and provide care to now over 300 clients.
As the business has developed it has grown outside of Wilmington Island to be primarily based downtown in Savannah, and we have just moved with it!
The move has brought Richmond Hill into our range, and the response has been great from the community there.
When I started Savannah Mobile Vet, I assumed it would be utilized primarily as a boutique practice for those who were trying to be efficient. I was a bit surprised at how many pets have had negative experiences in veterinary clinics and whose owners have given up on traditional brick and mortar practices.
I am privileged to be able to help the community by supporting: those clients who can no longer drive for whatever reason, those pets who have severe anxiety/fear of the car/clinics, those pets who are older and can’t get up into vehicles anymore, those pets who have been flagged as aggressive or have issues with other animals.
I have enjoyed working with Meals on Wheels to bring care to some of our local Seniors; as well as the Tybee Police helping out with a welfare program for the island.
Some things we plan for the future: Adding new equipment like x-rays/ultrasound (stay tuned)
As always, thank you for your time and interest and do not hesitate to reach out with questions :)
