“Veterinary medicine is not just a job, it is a calling. After 10+ years in the field, I still come to work in the morning excited to be an advocate for animals and be able to make a difference as a resource for animal owners here in Savannah.

I was raised in rural Tennessee and like most veterinarians developed a love for animals from a young age. So far I have worked in rural Nebraska on cattle, in Miami on parrots, in the Caribbean on mongoose, and in Ireland on race horses.

I went to college at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where I focused on Animal Science reproductive physiology. (making more animals!) While at UT: I attended on an Army ROTC scholarship, played Rugby, and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.

After college I worked for a year at Nashville Pet Emergency as a veterinary technician before attending St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies for my doctorate. While in Grenada I lived on a sailboat, hiked in the Grand Etang (jungle), and learned to kite surf.
